Prof. Michael Toch's book: The Economic History of European Jews: Late Antiquity and
Early Middle Ages. Four lecturers: Nureet Dermer (Beyond the Elite, HUJI), Dr. Debra
Kaplan (Bar Ilan University), Prof. Israel Yuval (HUJI), and Prof. Michael Toch (HUJI)
spoke on topics ranging from the Jews in local and regional economies during the Middle
Ages and Early Modern era to environmental aspects of medieval economic history.
