    Etelle Kalaora participated in a two week summer workshop "Jüdisches Leben in Deutschland", 3-17 July 2017, hosted by the University of Tübingen. The workshop provided a daily language course, and a comprehensive program studying the history of Jewish communities in Germany throughout history. Next to regular seminars, the program also offered topic related excursions and discussion rounds.

    In this worshop Ruth Mazo-Karras spoke to us about publishing in the academic world. She introduced us to the editors' work, and described the steps and strategies that need to be taken when publishing an article in a journal or the publishing of a book.

    Workshop | Paleography

    Dr. Engel presented the developments of the different Hebrew scripts through the Middle Ages, and discussed the manners in which historical conclusions can be drown from paleographical and codicological observations. We then practiced localization and dating of different manuscripts, concentrating on manuscripts from the 12-15th centuries.
