    In This Meeting, Prof. Krakowski presented her recently published book "Coming of Age in Medieval Egypt: Female adolescence, Jewish Law and Ordinary Culture" and current work with the Geniza sources. She discussed the importance of Goitein's project on the Genizah studies, and how we can learn from it. She also presented different aspects that can be subject of future studies using the various Genizah documents.

    In the seminar, Rita Copeland discussed different methodologies in researching the history of emotions. She presented her current project and showed us how through classic rhetoric and literature, medieval people intruduced the language of emotions in political discourse.
