Seminar I Prof. Eva Haverkamp

Lecturer:

Prof. Eva Haverkamp

Prof. Eva Haverkamp of the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich presented a lecture in our ongoing seminar. She discussed the exhibition she recently curated in Regensburg, commemorating the 500 anniversary of the expulsion of local Jews from this city, the last expulsion of Jews in Germany. Haverkamp described the practical, political and theoretical challenges her team had to overcome in creating the exhibition. Together we debated the need to communicate our historical research to the public, and the appropriate manners to do so.
