    Dr. Neta Bodner took the ERC team members and participants of the course "Urban Centers and Urban Life in Medieval Europe" on a tour to the old city. Following the course's theme of medieval urban spaces and cities, we visited the Holy Sepulchre and the bell-tower of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.

    In this worshop Ruth Mazo-Karras spoke to us about publishing in the academic world. She introduced us to the editors' work, and described the steps and strategies that need to be taken when publishing an article in a journal or the publishing of a book.

    In the seminar, Rita Copeland discussed different methodologies in researching the history of emotions. She presented her current project and showed us how through classic rhetoric and literature, medieval people intruduced the language of emotions in political discourse.

    In the Seminar, Prof. Katherine French discussed aspects of the study of late-medieval material culture. She presented different methodological approaches for the study of objects as historical sources, and considered different theoretical issues concerning such a project.
