Lecture I Turning Medieval Jewish Heritage into World Heritage - an Insight on Daily Work of Conservation, Research and Communication in Erfurt.

Lecturer:

Dr. Maria Stürzebecher

Dr. Maria Stürzebecher presented to our team her exhibition about the Medieval Jews in Erfurt located in the Old Synagogue (of Erfurt). She described her ongoing work uncovering different aspects of Jewish daily life in the city and the different foci of the exhibition, among them the Erfurt treasure, synagogue, tombstones, mikveh and stone-house. Together, we discussed various ideas regarding the accessibility of material to the public and what we could apply to our upcoming exhibition.
