During the conference, dealing with Jewish material culture in Medievel Ashkenaz, the five speakers raised various aspects of Jews' use and understanding of material culture and objects in the Middle-Ages. The speakers were Prof. Paola Tartakoff (Rutgers University), Prof. Sarah-Grace Heller (Ohio State University), Prof. Elisheva Baumgarten (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Prof. David Shyovitz (Northwestern University) and Tanja Potthoff (MiQua, Cologne).
