Conference I Shabbat in the Middle Ages (Hebrew)

The conference, dedicated to the Shabbat in Medieval Ashkenaz, addressed the various issues related to the ways in which Jews prepared for and celebrated the holy day. The four speakers, two of them MA students who presented the product of their work under the ERC group, raised a wide range of aspects related to the Shabbat, from liturgical practices, daily preparations, and mutual understanding of the holy day in relation to Christian society. The speakers were Ms. Ariella Lehmann (Hebrew University), Mr. Albert Kahn (Cambridge University), Ms. Chana Shacham-Rosby (Ben Gurion University of the Negev) and Prof. Israel Yuval (Hebrew University).
