Workshop | Movement in Medieval Liturgical Texts

Lecturer:

Ms. Efrat Nechama ABIA Centre Jerusalem

In order to interpret our sources in an inovative way, and better understand how medieval ritual took place within space, the team has met with choreographer Efrat Nechama, and together tried to reinterpret through movement a 13th century Ashkenazi wedding ceremony. We read together texts describing medieval Jewish wedding ritual and focused on the movement described in them and considered the meaning those added to the ritual.
