Workshop | Jewish Liturgy in Medieval Ashkenaz

During the month of May we were fortunate to host an intensive seven session workshop with Prof. Elisabeth Hollender from the Goethe University Frankfurt. During this workshop we learned from Prof. Hollender about the historical development of Medieval Ashkenazi Liturgy, as well as about local variety in piyyut and commentary. During this workshop we also individualy explored different Ashkenazi liturgical manuscripts, drawing out new insights for all our individual research.
