Nureet Dermer is a PhD candidate in the department of Jewish History at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and a member of the ERC research Project "Beyond the Elite".  She holds a BA in Economics and Accountancy, and was a certified public accountant for 10 years. She holds an M.A. in Jewish History and wrote her master's thesis on "The Jews in the Tax Lists (Taille) of Late 13th Century Paris: the socio-economic and cultural lives of Jewish men and women in Christian neighborhoods". In her Doctorate she is investigating the Socio-Economic everyday relations between Northern French Jews and Christians, during the Fourteenth century, between Expulsions.
