Ahuva Liberles Noiman is a postdoctoral research fellow who focuses on social, cultural and religious history in Europe during the 12th to 15th centuries. She is interested in understanding how relationships between Jews and Christians worked in urban spaces. She also takes interest in family and communal structures in both Jewish and Christian societies. Ahuva recently completed her dissertation at the Hebrew University, focusing on conversion and family life in the Jewish community of Regensburg in the late middle ages.  She is a lecturer for history and education at David Yellin college and is currently a Kreitman post-doctoral fellow at BGU, her research project aiming at the study of marginal groups in late medieval Jewish- Christian society. Her work is based on sources in Hebrew, German and Latin, found in manuscripts and in the archives. By examining and combining broad and diverse data, she hopes to deepen her understanding and offer a more complex picture of the past, revealing multiple narratives of Jewish pre-modern life, entangled in the surrounding Christian environment.
