Aviya Doron is a first year PhD candidate in the department of Jewish History at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem under the direction of Prof. Elisheva Baumgarten. She is researching the institutional setting of medieval Germany between the 13th and 14th century in which Jewish and Christian economic activity had developed. Aviya holds a bachelors degree from The Jerusalem Academy of Music, and was a classical pianist for over 15 years. In 2017 she received her MA with honours in European Studies from the European Forum at the Hebrew University after writing a thesis titled: Changes in Innovation Capacities: A Comparative Analysis of the German Economy in the late 19th Century and Post-World War II.
