Aviya Doron is a second-year PhD candidate at the department of Jewish History of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem under the supervision of Prof. Elisheva Baumgarten. Her Phd project explores risk and trust in Jewish-Christian economic interaction in the German Empire, c. 1280-1420, and aims to contextualize the institutional setting in which Jewish and Christian economic activity had developed into daily social and economic practices. Aviya holds a bachelors degree from The Jerusalem Academy of Music, and was a classical pianist for over 15 years. In 2017 she received her MA with honours in European Studies from the Hebrew University after writing a thesis titled: Changes in Innovation Capacities: A Comparative Analysis of the German Economy in the late 19th Century and Post-World War II.
